CT NET: Section 19

Stop for lunch in the quaint village of Tarriffville. This section sports spectacular views to the northwest of the Farmington River and beyond. Walk along Rt 189 across Farmington River bridge. The trail parallels the river, crosses a few streams, is bordered by large hemlocks and follows rolling terrain. Much of the trail here is hosted by Galasso, a quarry company. An old smallpox cemetery still exists, a small piece of history to discover on your walk.
