Overview
The Mount Grace Lean-to is a shelter site close to the main entrance of Mount Grace Forest. From the shelter you can hike to the summit, which stands at an elevation of 1,617 ft. At the top is a climbable fire tower that offers stellar views. The land is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Site Details
The lean-to is a three-sided shelter in an open area surrounded by woods. The roof was replaced in 2015 by AMC volunteers. Water sources are available within a short distance.
Reservation Policy
Reservations are not required but users are encouraged to make a reservation on our online calendar in order to post their ‘intent-to-stay’. The online submission does not guarantee a spot at the shelter, but helps inform others of availability.
