The Hanging Hills

This challenging hike leads to a vista at West Peak then continues along a rugged series of rocky ledges. One of the cool features of this hike is Castle Craig, a historic stone lookout tower atop East Peak in Hubbard Park, which offers some of the finest views along the NET in Connecticut. The terrain along this trail section includes steep, rugged climbs and loose rock, and travels through mixed hardwood and coniferous forest. You will be rewarded for the tough hike with overlooks of the Merimere Reservoir and views that stretch to the south.
