MA NET: Section 5

Section 05 follows old logging roads up the south slope of the mountain East Mountain, and similar wood roads and footpaths north of East Mountain towards Mount Tom Reservation.

Hikers should note that there is a shooting range in the area, so gunshots may be heard. The shooting range is located next to the trail crossing for West Cherry Street. Please stay on the trail and keep a strong hold on dogs.

Note: Potable water is scarce in this section, bring an adequate supply.
