Description

The trail passes an old orchard, a rocky area with many caves to explore, and scenic vistas at Rattlesnake Mountain and Pinnacle Rock. Hikers will enjoy Will Warren’s Den, a legendary hermit’s cave formed from a jumble of huge boulders, is a historic Farmington landmark. Continue to the 760 foot main cliff of Rattlesnake Mountain, a great lunch stop with excellent views. Then continue to the nearby summit of Pinnacle Rock with views in all directions. To complete the hike, backtrack to the trailhead.
